Azir enables

  • Bonus Attack Speed makes a unit attack more often per second, which means more auto-attack damage and faster mana generation toward the next ability cast. Some carries scale beyond that — their ability itself fires more hits when they have more Attack Speed (e.g., the number of swipes in Aphelios's onslaught). Stacking AS items and traits on these units compounds: faster autos, faster casts, and bigger casts.

  • Adds a unit to the field — temporary or permanent. Covers ability summons (pets and minions like Mama Beak's Tiny Beaks, Zyra's plants, or the Spirit Walker Yorick leaves behind when he dies), trait-spawned minions and relics, resurrect/revive of fallen allies, and bench-to-field arrivals. Summon-buff augments and the Summoner trait scale these. Bench refers to expanding bench slots, not the act of summoning; clone refers to making an exact copy of an existing unit, not summoning a new entity.

  • Effect fires on each basic-attack hit — every auto procs items like Red Buff (burn/wound), Nashor's Tooth (mana on attack), and Kraken's Fury (stacking Attack Damage per attack, up to 15). On-hit carries scale with attack-speed buffs, so stacking AS multiplies their damage and utility per second.

  • Generic enhancement — temporarily boosts an attack, ability, or stat beyond its baseline. Empower effects are usually one-shot bonuses tied to a single attack or cast (e.g., Caitlyn's Headshot passive empowers every third attack; Xayah's cast replaces her next five attacks with empowered feathers), not permanent stat gains.
